Cancellation Policy |
|
Schedule Changes due to Weather |
|
| |
The cancellation policy
for any single day Open Boat trip is
72 HOURS or 3 DAYS, multi-day Open Boat trips
are
14 DAYS,
and multi-day Free-Diving Open Boat trips are
30 DAYS,
prior to trip departure. Inside the cancellation
period, you will be responsible for the full cost
of each of your cancelled spots.
No rain
checks! If
we can fill your spot (or you have someone to take
your place), you will not be charged. This cancellation
policy pertains to our Open Boat trips only! The
cancellation policy for each Charter Group may be
different, so please check with the Charter Group.
All scheduled trips will run, regardless of rain
or shine (you’re going to get wet anyway!). PEACE
will only cancel a trip if conditions become “unsafe”
for passengers. |
|
All destinations and departure times
are subject to change depending decisions made
by the Captain(s) on weather and sea conditions
. Unfortunately, we are not able to predict what
the weather will be like for an upcoming trip.
The crossing to the islands may be rough, but
there are many places the boat can “hide” from
the weather so that your diving is still enjoyable.
The Captain(s) will not place the passengers or
the boat in danger. The local marine forecast
is checked prior to the departure of all trips,
unfortunately, as with any weather forecast, conditions
can change in a matter of minutes. The Captain(s)
will make the final determination as to the destination
and departure times, for the safety of all aboard. |

All of our trips (unless otherwise specified) include
air fills. The PEACE is able to fill all tanks,
including high-pressure tanks, up to 3500 PSI. The PEACE is equipped
with a DNAx Membrane System, which currently
produces Nitrox blends at 32%. Because we are
not using high pressure
oxygen, O2 clean tanks are NOT required.
Nitrox
fills are extra. |

Taking Game |
|
Fish
and Game |
|
| |
All divers/passengers
who take game are responsible for adhering to California
Department of Fish and Game Laws. Each diver/passenger
is responsible for all game he/she takes, including
the legal size, possession limits and applicable
season. DO NOT SHOOT OR TAKE GAME AND
THEN ASK WHAT IT IS! If you are not sure,
please ask BEFORE
taking game, our knowledgeable crew will be happy
to assist you, as several species of California’s
marine life are protected! The PEACE is well
known for its hunters, therefore the Department
of Fish and Game frequently boards the boat during
and/or after a trip. The PEACE will not be
responsible if you are caught and fined for taking
illegal game. Live game can be stored in the
game tank located on the back deck. You may
leave your game in your bag or place in directly
into the game tank. Please be sure your game
bag is marked with your name and/or initials for
easy identification, as most game bags look alike!
If you bring an ice chest on board to store your
game in, please be sure to bring your own ice as
well. The ice machine aboard the boat can
only produce enough ice for use with our soda machine.
Your cooperation is appreciated. |
|
All divers/passengers
taking game must possess a current CALIFORNIA
SALTWATER FISHING LICENSE, as well as an OCEAN
ENHANCEMENT STAMP Department
of Fish & Game License information:
http://www.dfg.ca.gov/licensing/fishing/sportfishingfees.html
The
PEACE
SCUBA CENTER
now sells fishing licenses
and Ocean
Enhancement Stamps. If
you plan to take game, please be sure you have
both of these items prior to getting on the boat.
Licenses MUST be purchased in the shop by
cash or check. In special circumstances arrangements
can be made for after hours purchases. Contact the
shop during normal business hours for
details. |
